Vacation Bible School
We will be hosting VBS on August 1-5, 2011, from 6:30 PM to 8:30 PM. VBS is open to children 4 years old - 6th grade. Younger children may be accepted upon request. All children must be potty trained. Youth older than 6th grade are welcome to participate as helpers. The nursery is restricted to children of VBS workers only.
The theme for this year is The Jesus Expedition: Exploring the Miracles of Jesus. The theme verse is Psalm 118:14, "The LORD is my strength and song, and He has become my salvation."
Here is an overview of what we will be learning:
- Day 1 - Jesus is the Savior: He heals a paralyzed man (memory verse Isaiah 1:18)
- Day 2 - Jesus has power over death: He raises Jairus' daughter from the dead (memory verses 1 Corinthians 15:21-22)
- Day 3 - Jesus is our Provider: He provides a coin in a fish's mouth (memory verse Philippians 4:6)
- Day 4 - Jesus deserves our thanks: He heals ten lepers (memory verse Psalm 118:28)
- Day 5 - closing ceremony
