Bruce Pike and his wife Joyce have been married since 1978. They have two college-aged children, Clayton and Shaylyn. Bruce and Joyce have been at CBC since 1994.
Bruce enjoys reading and music. He is a proficient banjo player, and enjoys playing it to the AWANA Cubbies.
Bruce is serving as the children's ministry director. As such, he approves the curriculum, assigns the teachers, and ensures that all is working properly. Also, Bruce is involved in the evangelism ministry. He arranges times throughout the year for the church as a whole to participate in evangelism in our surrounding neighborhoods. Bruce is also involved in our prayer ministry, which seeks to minister to others through interceding for others. Recently, Bruce and his wife, Joyce, joined the CBC Choir and enjoy singing.
Bruce's favorite Scripture passage is Ephesians 4:1, "I therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, entreat you to walk in a manner worthy of the calling with which you have been called;" Walking in a manner worthy involves so much more than knowing what the Scriptures say (although that is essential); it involves living in a way that brings glory to Him in everything we say and do, knowing that we have been given "everything pertaining to life and godliness" to carry out His purpose.

Simon and his wife Guadalupe have been married since 1997. They have two daughters, Brianna and Hannah. They have been attending CBC since 2001.
The Gospel of John is Simon's favorite book of the Bible. When witnessing, he turns to John 14:1-14 as his primary text of explaining who Jesus is.
His main hobby is raising different breeds of chickens. He also enjoys watching NASCAR racing, football, and baseball.
Simon currently serves in two major functions at CBC. First, he oversees the maintenance of the grounds. God has graciously provided nearly three acres for our church; however, that is a lot of grass to cut! Simon has others who assist him in this area of ministry, but he can sometimes be found on Saturdays taking care of everything by himself! Second, Simon keeps the church sign up-to-date. CBC is located on a very busy road, and there are thousands of cars that pass by on a given day. By keeping the church sign current, people know what is taking place at CBC.
